Bihar issues e-challans through the national Parivahan system, so you can check pending challans online for any vehicle registered in Patna, Gaya, Muzaffarpur or any other district.

How to check your Bihar e-challans

  1. Open the official Parivahan e-challan portal
  2. Choose search by vehicle number, challan number or DL number
  3. Enter the details and the OTP sent to the registered mobile
  4. Note the challan number, date, offence and amount, and whether it is pending in court

Settling at Lok Adalat in Bihar

District courts across Bihar hold Lok Adalats under the Bihar State Legal Services Authority (BSLSA), including the four National Lok Adalats each year. Challans for minor, compoundable offences that are pending in court are usually listed there.

  • The process is free and the award is final
  • Amounts are often reduced for minor offences, but this is never guaranteed
  • Serious offences such as drunk driving are generally excluded

Tips for transporters and fleet owners

Trucks, buses and autos often collect many challans. Check all vehicles together before each National Lok Adalat and settle in one go; it saves repeated court visits and keeps permits and fitness renewals smooth.

AdalatSaathi has a Patna office and helps across all 38 districts of Bihar, on WhatsApp in Hindi.
